Winning Applications and Projects:

Award winning schools were selected on the basis of past historical performance and the merits of their proposed projects, both in relation to advancing the learning of their students. In some cases the outstanding nature of past work or of a proposed project influenced the judges' rankings.

In general:

• All projects demonstrated a commitment and capacity to evaluate the effectiveness of their project in improving student learning
• Each successful applicant clearly assessed the particular needs of students in their school and developed a project that, in the judges' opinions, will address those needs.
