Learning Leadership on the Ropes at the 27th Annual, 2004
Short Course
The School Leadership Centre, in partnership with Pacific
Adventure Learning and the UBC
Ropes Course, is offering an optional leadership development
experience for participants of the Short Course. This session
will provide participants an exhilarating, challenging, and
fun finish to the second day of the Short Course.
For school leaders, experiential learning opportunities,
such as those participants will encounter on the UBC Ropes
Course, are useful vehicles for developing leadership potential
and team capacity in schools, whether with administration,
teachers, students, parents, or all together. This evening's
program will focus on how to communicate, motivate, and lead.
Participants will receive practical experience in working
through existing and anticipated challenges as both a leader
and a team member. At the same time participants will be invited
to explore the possibilities of experiential learning for
their school communities.
Maximum 20 participants.
